The issue paper may be downloaded here. A new article published by research house Gartner draws attention to the fact that the judiciary is now leading calls for in-house advisors and IT professionals to work together with external litigation counsel to ensure adequate collection and review of electronically stored material. Infology has announced the appointment of Timothy J. Maidment as Vice-President of Business Development with effect from 2 November.

Maidment will be based in New York and will oversee the development of client relations throughout the United States.

The preliminary report by Lord Jackson on the costs of civil litigation in England & Wales was published for comment on Friday, 8 May.

The final report, expected in December this year, will make proposals for the reform of civil procedure and of the costs rules in order to promote access to justice at proportionate cost.
